Customer Service Module Enhancements – coming soon

The Customer Service module is often used to record different types of service issues. Depending on whether you are dealing with a customer complaint about poor service, or a faulty product, or a warranty claim you may have a different process with different pieces of information and a different set of ‘status’ values in each process.  

In order to address this requirement we are introducing a recordType field in the Customer Service module, with each recordType  having its own dedicated list of Status values.  

In addition, in v7 you can define a different screen layout for each customer service recordType.   The benefit is that for each different type of customer service issue you can define a screen layout that only display those fields that are relevant for that service type.

New in V7: User Dashboards

One of the exciting new features in v7 is the ability for every person to configure their own multi-page dashboard.  Starting from a blank canvas you can create multiple dashboard pages and then drag & drop widgets onto the dashboard grid.  The library of dashboard elements contains statistic widgets, charts, graphs, and tables.

Popular dashboard elements are sales pipeline charts, activity charts and table lists such as the top 10 neglected opportunities or list of oldest service issues.

V7 Milestone!

A significant milestone was reached last week with the Pilot Release of v7 to consulting partners and an initial group of Early Adopters.  Early feedback has been great, particularly on our new dashboard functionality and the enhanced configurability!

Keep in mind that the conversion to v7 will take a bit of planning and requires data migration and retraining.  Because of this we recommend that you contact your Legrand consultant early! You will want to discuss what v7 means for your business, how it may improve some processes, plan a migration test run and a date for the upgrade to v7

V7 Early Adoption? Is it right for you?

We are excited to announce that our much-anticipated Version 7 is going to be available in a Pilot Release at the end of June. Our pilot release will be geared at a group of Early Adopters and will include our core modules: Companies, Contacts, Opportunities, and Calendar. We are also planning on including an initial set of modern and high-power reporting dashboards.

We plan on making Version 7 software updates much easier with an auto-update function that will notify you when new updates are available and automatically downloads and installs the updates. As enhancements are suggestions are reported to us, we are going to be making regular software updates to ensure that V7 is delivering as promised. Expect fortnightly updates with bug fixes and enhanced features as we solicit feedback from our early adopters.

Legrand CRM users who use optional modules such as Quotes, Customer Service, or Item/SerialNo Tracking can look forward to migrating to v7 in the second half of this year.
